Block C-5 (Crazy Jane)
My latest block. I made this block by hand piecing it. I wasn't sure if I should put in that extra background curvy piece, but I really like the look of it, so I'm glad I did.

Crazy Jane quilt
I am working on a "Dear Jane" quilt - a replica of an antique quilt made by Jane A. Stickle in 1863. My mother-in-law has labelled it "crazy Jane" because of the nature of the quilt. There are 169 square blocks, each 4 1/2" in size. Every block has a different pattern, as well as a different focus fabric. I am using a tea-dyed muslin for the background. I started at the beginning of the year and am getting close to 60 blocks. I love this quilt more and more every day.
